Commission Junction wins competitive five way pitch for Legal & General

London, UK, 10 October 2011 – Commission Junction, the world’s largest affiliate network, today announces that it has been appointed to run its UK affiliate marketing programme by Legal & General Group. With over seven million customers in the UK across a range of life assurance, pensions, investments and general insurance plans, Legal & General are one of the UK’s leading financial services companies.
Legal & General previously used a combination of in-house and public networks but was looking to consolidate these and expand their affiliate marketing programme for its direct products.  Through a consistent strategic partnership with Commission Junction, Legal & General is developing a comprehensive online strategy to target consumers and maintain brand awareness in a more cost-effective manner, delivering increased results and ROI. 
Commission Junction will be working on developing an affiliate hub for Legal & General; an affiliate facing microsite to provide all publisher tools, FAQs and creative as well as an avenue of communication between affiliates and account managers.  Legal & General is also interested in developing a PayPerCall offering, helping affiliates track sales via telephone consultation.

Legal & General is working with Commission Junction and Mediaplex as the foundation for its online digital strategy.  The programme launched in September 2011.
